"Changing Our World One Success at a Time"

Our world is changing. It is changing more rapidly now than at any other time in history and will continue to do so. Some may say, “So what! That’s just the way things are. It’s just life.” Well I have a question for you. Have you ever stopped to think about the effects that this rapid change may have on us as human beings?
Many of the challenges that we face in our lives and that we see in our society today can be directly linked to our inability to accept and adapt, quickly and easily, to change. Some of these challenges include: sudden loss of employment, financial devastation, homelessness, low productivity, divorce, mental and physical abuse, drug and alcohol addictions, learning disabilities, feeling overwhelmed, and feelings of hopelessness, stress, and fear. Many of these challenges have become an everyday occurrence.
So What Causes These Things to Occur?
Stop for a moment and realize how inundated we are with information on a daily basis. From things that we hear on our favorite television and radio programs, casual conversations and advice we receive from others, the constant bombardment from advertisers selling expectations that most of us could not possibly achieve.
Add to this our constantly changing work environment. We are changing careers more today than our parents and grandparents did. Companies are downsizing, corporations are merging, and new management brings new philosophies and thus the need for constant adaptation. The products and services that we become accustomed to, more than likely, will not be available 5 to 10 years from now. What’s popular today won’t be the ‘in thing’ tomorrow. Life never seems to let up and it's only going to intensify.
These things may not seem like any big deal on the surface because “That’s just life”, right? However, what we fail to realize is that, even though we may not be consciously paying attention to all these things, there is a part of us that is and it's being affected adversely by all these challenges of life. And it can leave us very unfulfilled, disappointed and starving for wisdom.
